Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Democrats in Olympia are proposing the largest tax increases in Washington’s history—more than $20 billion. They’re so big that even Gov. Bob Ferguson, a Democrat, says he cannot support them.
I didn’t come to Olympia to raise your taxes and grow the state government. I came here to represent the hard-working families struggling to make ends meet, many of whom live paycheck to paycheck. The citizens of Washington are suffering through an affordability crisis. We don’t need to ask our taxpayers for more money. We must prioritize spending and make the state live within its means, just like you and I must do with our budgets.
Please take a few minutes to watch my video about these proposed tax increases and see where I stand on this issue.

The regular session is quickly coming to an end on April 27. We will be making some critical decisions between now and the final day. I welcome your comments as we fight to protect the taxpayers of Washington state. Please write, email, or call my office. My contact information is below.
Thank you for allowing me the great honor of serving and representing you!
Sincerely,

Gloria Mendoza
